I seem to be getting popups every time I click on a thread...........anyone else?

Got Nortons virus and have been using google blocker will take a look at that adaware 6 tho, cheers

Search your computer for "twaintec.dll", "VX2 betterinternet.dll", " thnall1t.exe", "preInsTT.exe". These are all the same thing and they download endless other junk automatically and remove a lot of functions from your operating system. I have that on my laptop and so far I haven't managed to get rid of it.

Its a particularly annoying parasite and the paid versions of Adaware 6 and Spyhunter dont remove it. I'm more or less resigned to formatting my drive and re-installing Windows.

You might also be amused to know that Twaintec, the people who own this disgusting program which is actually a trojan AND a virus are sueing AOL in the states for "infringing their right to distribute their software"

Thanx Pete.... I just downloaded and ran it and it doesn't work. All the Twaintec stuff is still there although PanicWare is telling me that it's been deleted

Don't forget the Restore folder. if this is active, a copy of all software will there. On start up Windows checks to see what should be loaded at Startup. if it cannot find a copy it loads it from Restore. I had this with several viruses and everytime I removed them they were back the next time I checked. After I dis-abled Restore the problem went away. I have the free version of AVG Grisoft and it has functionallity to stop all Ad's. Updates are every few days and it really works well.
