  • 4" Lift

I have an Auto 2nd Gen 3L Diesel Surf

I'm looking at doing a 4" overall lift. Comprising of 2" body lift and 2" suspension lift.

For the body lift i am going to order the parts from 4crawler (this link): "http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Toyota4RunnerBodyLift.shtml" i am aware that you have to lower the radiator and raise the front bumper when doing a 2" body lift. This site also says that for 4WD Automatic transmission you need a transmission linkage bracket. Is this correct and are there any other modifications that are needed?

For the other 2" I am going to use +2" shocks all round with +2" springs in the rear. At the front I'll use 1.5" ball joint spacers and wind up the torsion bars for the extra 0.5". I am sourcing the ball joint spacers also from 4crawler (this link): "http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/BallJointSpacer.shtml" I'm not sure what springs or shocks I'm going to use though

Will this all work or have i got it completely wrong?
Any Suggestions on parts or perhaps alternate methods to achieve this lift?
With the 2" suspension lift, besides the suspension it self is there any other modifications that need doing?
What is the maximum size tyres i can put on my surf with this lift?
What are common problems when doing a lift like this?

    Thanks in advance
Working...
