its not gonna stop anything if you roll over and only get in the way otherwise

Obviously the yanks fit them for roll protection and general rock crawling but does anyone know how much they help in a collision? i.e. for arguments sake would they make a big difference to crash safety in a vehicle that is pre impact protection and without airbags etc?

in a collision with another car/truck i suppose it would put stress on the chassie not the crumple zones of the origional car so prob cause more damage to the truck.

why would it not stop anything if you roll? would it not offer more support to the roof structure?

The yanks have them cos they're cap sleeve T-shirt wearing Arnie fantasy gays!!!

Apart from that they're OK. Yanks that is, not exo's, they're gayer than 3rd gens!

that particular one wouldnt offer much more protection in a collision IMO.
it may even lend to more damage than youd get without.

and personally speaking i think it looks crap.

                  Not my cup of tea.
For what it cost to cover that Landcruiser in scaffolding, the guy could have bought a beat up off-roader and keep the 'cruiser looking nice.

That cage looks a bit spindley IMHO, however, if it does the job of keeping the rocks off the clear laquer and vice-versa, then it is a goodun.

I wouldn't fancy putting that 'Cruiser on its roof with that cage though.
                        It's only a hobby!

crap welding, that cage really needs bigger diameter pipe and theres not enough triangulation in it,one roll and the cage will get bent to buggery,on the upper hand those proffet cruisers are ace,yea i wish i had $50,000 dollars as well.
