Nice design, cutting the inner edge out. Will save having to grind bits off the wishbone.

An idea for the spring seats Mark. How about a special set for LC springs where one is half inch thick and the other is standard. Would stop the typical 'Surf Lean' due to the original springs being slightly different lengths.

I believe coil sprung Range Rovers have the same issue.

What would be safer, modifying the aloy BJ spacers or grinding down the wishbone?

Wouldn't have thought either is 'dangerous' as such, but I think I'd rather lose the a few mil of the lip of the steel wishbone than a whole chunk of aluminium spacer. Mark's are steel are they not?

I believe the reason for grinding the lip off the wishbone, rather than Taking some off the spacers (or making them smaller), Is because the bolt holes thru the spacer are as close to the edge as you would wish to get. Any less metal between edge of bolt hole and edge of spacer would be dangerous, surely!

the reason for the cut out in the design is to allow for ease of acces to the grease nipple on the ball joint, these were cut from a ball joint template and are an exact replica of the ball joint base.so if you wanted to you can just unbolt and slide the spacers in an out to your exact requirements.and as said before no need to cut the wishbone.

there will be a slight amount of cutting but not as much as using the big alloy blocks.
