While I was back at home I showed this website to my cuz. He was pretty impressed. He looked at the recent surf's that was for sale here.
Comparing the prices, you would still make a saving crossing the boarder & bringing it back. Dare say there could be a nice sideline there if one was prepared to do the paperwork. I reckon you'd get €500-€1000 per vehicle. An advantage would be it getting thru as a commercial.
What did you have do to get it thru as a commercial vehicle? e.g., did you have to rip out the back seats? seal up the seat belts bolts & cover the rear windows? Did you dumb down the wheels or does that not matter if your getting it thru as a commerical? Appreciate any help.
Remove back seats entirely, bolts n all & put away in a safe place. DIY job.
Remove both back seatbelts entirely or remove entire interior plastic rear lining & fit it back in place with seatbelt tucked underneath. DIY job.
My rear windows have a very dark tint so i didnt need to block them at all.
Basically your trying to show that you cant take passengers in the back.
You may have to put down a sheet of ply board for a floor im not sure.
Ring your local tax office & get info.
Its very very much worth it. The tax is buttons & your insurance costs shrink.

600euro is still way too much. What age are you & how long have you held a full driving license.
If you dont want to discuss this on the forum, email me.

Im paying 380euro with my crowd but my circumstances may be very different to yours.

Well im a bit older than you but ive only had my full license for 2 yrs so you should still get a good deal with this bunch; http://www.mikemurphyinsurance.ie/Static/MMI/index.htm

Obviously your car has to have commercial status.
