had some Yokohama Geolander AT+ IIs fitted to the surf the other day.
In comparison to the tyres that where on when i bought it (Falken Airsomething, badged as AT but looked more like RT). the geolanders are the same size (265/70-15) but have a much reduced contact area as the geolanders have more tread on the shoulder (presumably for off-road/mud). They are slightly more noisy and greater rolling losses (SOTP driving) but on the plus side they do actually grip the road!
will be off-road at the moor romp, we'll see how they go!
They where £330 fitted, but that was a special price.
