I'm even further away than that, and I'm not driving either - how does this work? I was even further away a minute ago, 'cos I was in the garden....

Well my next one is up past you to the top of Scotland, Cape Wrath or maybe over the other side to John O'Groats.
Taking the wife to try and see the Northen Lights in January.
Looks like a dozen others are tagging along so far.

An interesting little fact (after us talking about how big Scotland is) is that I could drive to Paris and back in similar time to driving to Cape Wrath...

(Obviously not including wading through the channel)

I thought of you on the way home Gra,

There was a Zook covered in mud on a flatbed, shame the flatbed was being towed

                          No that far then

Well not for a mad Irishman I know - he left Belfast on Friday morning in a 1.1 Panda brought brand new earlier in the year.
At 7:00am he was passing Luton, Friday night he reached Bordeaux, on Sat night he stayed in Malaga, Sunday he visited Gibraltar, and is now in Casablanca !!!!

All that and he's clearing 40 odd MPG !!!

Man after me own heart, when i passed my HGV1, no one would give me a job, they all said come back when you got some expieriance, so i got an operators licence, bought an old Volvo globetrotter, first trip was to Varna Bulgaria, January, freezing cold snowing like hell, only ever been abroad once, day trip to Calais, but what an adventure and learning curve.
