Had a look at the servicing info, but it aint there...

Is there an equivalent rad cap for the 3.0 that I can get from Halfrauds? Just noticed mines leaking (temp normal) and I'm going to Wales tomorrow!

It's just the standard type cap on the 3.0L, same as the 2.4, isn't it? 0.9Bar/13-14 PSI?

If so. there are only two different styles, if I recall correctly, so even the Halford's monkeys should have a hard time cocking that one up.

Cheers Nev. Thought it was but wasn't 100% sure.

Might also be worth prodding Vince as well Andy. I think he has a Q.H part number for a rad cap knocking about. They tend to be a favourite for stocking with a lot of factors.

I'll take a pic of my spare in the Surf when the wench gets back if you'd like, just so you can see what type of sealing assembly it is if you have to double check when you nip in for one, without having to take your cap off and in with you.

If she'd stuck those breasts out any further, she'd have taken someones eye out.

                  Hi
I had the same prob with my baby but because my surf was a kzn185 3rd gen 30ltr on a 96 it had a very small rad cap and all the usual motor outlets only supplied the larger one so I eventually got it from the main dealer at a cost of £16.35

Thanks folks. I'll clean the rad bit tonight and try the cap off the old rad. If it's OK, I'll just order an OEM one.

I got a new cap from the local motor factors by asking for a small generic 0.9 bar one andy. Exactly the same(and made by QH)
                      £4.95
                      Non intercooled nothing.
