My dad had a cortina but i can't remember if it was a MK2 or 3, it was sky blue with a rear lift & wider wheels.

It always reminded me of the starsky & hutch motor but in blue.

                Loved that car.
If its not broke don't fix it.

                  That would be a MK3?

Brown Ford Corsair was the earliest memory, followed by a mk4 cortina. My mum had 2 Triumph 2000 tc's and a Dolomite. (2 of them written off by other people)

My sisters 1st car was a very old mini with the string door pulls / sliding windows and the starter button. My brothers 1st (and only) car was a mk 2 capri 3.0 ghia. He bought it to learn in and never bothered to pass his test. He's 45 now and still can't drive ! When he sold the car it was wrapped around a lamp post a month later..

1st car I bought was a 1971 landrover series 2a LWB. Got me started in mechanics - had a cracked head 1/2 an exhaust and bald tyres when I bought it.

                      Rob.

mum had a moggy, with fold out arms for indicators, dad had a mk3 cortina estate in yellow, black vinyl roof, and black vinyl seats,he used to take us on holiday to wales and would turn off the engine going down hills on the m4,cause he thought it would save fuel.i remember being in the car one day with him when complete gearstick came out in his hand lol,mum sold the moggy and then got a new talbot horizon

Morris 1100. I remember my dad getting it up on two wheels at about a 45 deg angle one night when he took a sharp bend in the road he'd forgotten about. He used to ride a Honda Nifty Fifty ( I think it was called) before that.

My dad had a honda 50, till someone wiped him out on it, he broke his shoulder.
He got insurance money for it and bought a triumph bonneville.

My parents had a Ford Ranchero like this one but in sky blue and white with a 351 cu in v8, had to sell it when my brother came along only three seats. They both loved it.
