  • 3 Litre turbo boost gauge

    Where would I mount a boost gauge on a 3 litre KZN130 - Diesel?

I'm may be thinking to T off the back of the actuator but I'm unsure. I'd like a bit more poke from the 3.0 but I need to know how much boost I'm getting. I'm assuming it's the standard 7psi... So, if the same applies to the 3 litre as the 2.4 then I can up this to 10-11psi without problems.

Do any of the 3 - litre forum members run boost gauges?

    Thanks!

i think the answer to your question on where to put the boost gauge is on the aussie site you might want to look there until one of the others with more knowledge answers your question but i dont think the washer trick works on the 3.0 its a different set up

Hi mate! We have replaced the smashed window, and put a new wing on. I just need to replace the front bumper and the grill.
The current grill doesnt hold the indicator on so I need a new one.
I may be able to bash out the chrome part of the bumper - but I definitely need a new bracket to hold it on as the one thats there is bent very bad!
I'm slowly getting there as money troubles are sorting themselves out.
This month though I have to do a cam belt on the 3.0
I need a mint grill and front bumper (but may be able to repair the current bumper) so am after a grill first
But it has to be mint or thereabouts.

Boost gauge is teed into the Turbo Pressure Sensor hose. There's a diagram here.

To control boost you need a boost controller. This is installed in the hose between the actuator and intake. Diagram here.

Thats what I'm after. I reckon I can pop the dent out of the chrome... So want to try that first!
