Cie Carabosse - installation de feu

The Clipper round the world yacht race starts in Hull tomorrow and as part of the weekend the french Cie Carabosse set up fire structures in the streets of the near derelict Fruit Market area next to the Marina. The streets were alight with fire. Hot coals in round baskets hanging from wires across the streets, braizers, flues, with cut out designs, over bowls of burning wax. Moving statues and open-air music stages and bars. The place was full of families and people enjoying the fine weather. You could walk amongst it all and there was no-one there telling you not to go too near or don't touch, it was just relaxed and a good night out.
I think it would be better having something like this in the winter, as well, instead of the lights.
