seen it a million times before
      3000 posts and then nothing
a slight axaggeration there mate! lol.
and for now ive fitted normal thule roof bars that sit over the tops of the doors so does that count? shall i bring my camera?
as for fitting the top track one...my other surf hasnt got a sunroof so i will probably fit it to that one instead if i dont sell her. its not for off roading...just loading material sheets etc for work. saves me getting insured on my transit again because i want to sell my transit.
there is method to my madness. trust me.

          No
          Thule bars don't count
we didn't need all those posts for you to fit a standard Halfords item.
          so no camera required

          BTW
Popeye didn't mean you specifically, just a general observation...

they were steel and i got em from bushwacker who got em from stien, he used to make em (maybe still does), you could make some "laminated" spacers from thinner steel i guess, easier to get hold of, if you need the drawing (diamentions etc) let me know

oh right. im not sure what stein is doing these days? havent seen him for ages nor has he replied to various requests like bash plates winch bars etc etc??
and as for the dimensions, no need now mate. ive been put off the idea. just going to wind the torsion bars up instead. my mate is going to give me a hand next week with them.
dont suppose you know how long cranking the torsion bars up is going to take do you mate?
ill be lifting the rear at the same time so ill need to plan my day around lifting the surf.
                    Ta.

I've not touched my torsion bars so not sure, if i remember right it wont take long, and i think about ten full turns raises about 1/2", just make sure the front of the truck right off the ground (wheels) and give the adjusters a good oiling, plus as someone found out you need a spanner on the top nut to lock it or the whole thing just turns, personally i would'nt go up more than 1 1/2" on em, i was worried they'd snap, dunno how much +2" replacement bars are,
best part of a tidy sum i'd bet

Yup!! jack it till the front wheels are off the deck, support it for safty's sake (thats why i'd leave the wheels on, extra safty, then it wont squash you as theres a fair bit of room under there anyway, unless your sitting up)

No need to over do the thanks, a simple cheque in the post will do
