No idea... but the Mk3 is the most popular model.. longest span as far as the hilux is concerned.

Mk2 had a bench seat again rarely but on occasion. Finding one in a mk3 is reeeaaally rare.


Growler is right, Mk4 onwards have been IFS.

Maybe butting in but I believe the MK3 was the last of the pickups with a solid front axle. My old Mk4 had IFS

I'll have a look! beter still i'll get some pic as soon as i can, and note the phone no, dont know which flat the bloke lives in but i belive he works for a mini digger co, hes had several 4x4s at verious times, even had a surf for two weeks so must have been impressed with it

An they sell for waaay too much money when they do pop up.

might be of interest to someone here, the old hilux at the top of our road has a for sale sign on it, no price just a phone no, anyone interested i'll get a pic and the no, solid front axel, old original this one, be tempted meself but for lack of funds and space
