Where do you buy your MP3s from?

I got a new iPhone and had a wander round the Apple store, but some of their downloads are more expensive than a CD from Play or Amazon!
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

He's got a point - theft is the removal of a physical item, blah de blah de blah, and is a criminal offence. Copyright infringement is the breaking of a contract, and is a civil offence. Calling one thing another doesn't make it so, no matter how many times it's shoved down your throat every time you pay to go to the cinema/watch a DVD.

Still maybe not the brightest idea in the world though. So I tend to still buy CDs and rip them myself. High quality, with a physical backup, and no DRM nonsense randomly breaking stuff.

Tesco's and amazon are both ok for buying songs from.
But Itunes has the bigest digital collection and as its sooooo easy to use if you have itunes on your pc, I end up buying it from there if its just a single.

On a different note, if you are going to buy cd's and copy them using itunes make sure you set itunes up to copy them to mp3 not the apple format. Only because not every machine in the world can read the apple format where as every one can read mp3.

I am only recormending you do this because 1 day you might buy a different music player or a media center for the house and they all like mp3's not because you can share mp3's easier with your friends

                        Theft

In principle, file sharing is theft, but from the time Vinyl, Videos etc came to the market, around 60's, we in the UK have always had to pay more than our European cousins and America etc. This country for many many years, has been paying over the top for many items, including cars, than mainland Europe, so do not have any guilt feelings about file sharing, although at present have stopped as don't want to be one of the people who have to pay a fine.

Which is illegal. It may be BS and we may pay too much for originals, but file 'sharing' is still illegal.
