  • Surf Decal removal

On Monday i started removing my surf decals/graphics ("Off Road".... no sh*t??!) on the side panels & im still at it. Wish i hadnt bothered.
Heres a warning to anybody thinking of doing it; BE PREPARED TO GET VERY VERY ANGRY.

Im using a heat gun (hair dryer is rubbish) & credit card (do not use a razor blade!) but its the adhesive crap left on the paint that is mind numbingly difficult to remove. Ive been using a popular tar/bug remover & its absolutely pathetic.
Can anybody PLEASE recommend a product to get rid of it??

Not tried it on the Surf but whenever I have removed stickers, I always found cellulose thinner good for removing the adhesive. Carefull not to remove the paint though and you will need to polish it afterwards.

I agree, Caramel wheel (sometimes called a pin strip remover, or decal remover) is designed to do the job.
                Gone from 4x4 to 1x2

I've used Petrol and/or white spirit to remove sticker residue in the past (from motorbikes).

....and vinegar to remove the residue of silicon glue/sealer.

                  ...and patience....not that I have a lot.
