Cheers Nev. That form-a-gasket is well impressive. 
Thin layer of that stuff on all of the unions and it seems spot on. First time I've ever worked on that top hose without having to constantly nip the clamps up to buggery. Just did them tight enough to clamp properly and it seems fine. Second test run and not found a single leak yet.
