  • Glove Box Key

Anyone one know how i go about finding a key to fit my glove box, just want to keep the kids out of my cd cases as it prob not car theft proof.I have an original ignition key which has a number on it, is thst any use to pair up a box key.
The other thing im looking for a a remote Key fob for the Sigma S-Series car alarm on my surf. The circuiry on mine seems to have packed up, changed the battery and tried all the recoding suggestions ive found on the net. They seem to run at about £50 new and thats a bit of a stretch at the mo. If anyones upgraded their alarm and kept the fobs, id like to speak to you.
    thanks

                No

                I was being serious.

The ignition key on my truck locks the glove box, it only goes in a short distance, hence the tip.

To be honest it's worthless, a crowbar would open the glove box with ease, and huge expense to you The only time I locked the glove box was when I left the truck with a mechanic when I was on holiday and didn't have anywhere to leave SHMBO purse, so I locked it in the glove box. Then gave the mechanic the key, a real doh moment really.

i cant see my 10 yr old using a crow bar to open the glove box, well not yet anyway, i only want to lock it to keep LITTLE fingers from my cd's, face off radio thingy, usb sticks etc and playing my new radio/cd/usb/sd card radio at full blast and blowing the speakers i put in yesterday.( i do have a 21yr old whos more likely to balls up my radio again, hense the new bits) If any other scroat wants in , i fully appreciate that the glove box is no problem, but i hope the sigma s30 will let me know if a window goes thru.

Really..... Duane fancy using a crowbar on the beloved Surf's glove box, I'm sure a mere screwdriver would do the job !!!!

                    There's always a Payback .... Don't know where n ya won't know when !!!!

If you can remove the lock you should be able to take it into a local auto locks specialist and get them to make a key that fits the lock.

I had to do this with a set of keys for a motorbike recently when the missus lost the keys! Cost about 20 quid.
