4X4 upgrade?

Hello folks, just looking for a bit of advice. Ive had my 3rd gen hilux for 4 months & the time has come to buy new tyres or a 2" lift or a decent winch.
Shes sitting on pretty useless/almost bald road biased tyres at the moment & it doesnt take much to get them spinning in mud.
What is the best upgrade (with a fairly modest amount of money)to make my lux better able for the real rough stuff?
Im thinking of getting a set of Kumho MT's but im worried they'll be too noisey. Anyone have any experience with that sort of tyre?
Any advice is welcome.

hello mate, i have just got a set of General Grabber AT2's they seem really good the write ups were good. I have a 2" suspension liftand a 2" body lift, i am running 265-70-16 which are standard for the 3rd gen. It is worth getting a suspention lift and if you can a body lift, it makes the truck look much better.

I ran Hippo on Marshall/Khumo MTs with no problems, and that includes the super duper KH71s

Al second that one, Had them over a year, still plenty o tread on when i got rid, not noisy at all and real good handling on and off road

Thanks for the response guys. I think i'll be getting a set of those Kumho MT's in the next week or two.
Much to my annoyance Ireland is the 4x4 tyre rip-off capital of Europe. One tyre store quoted me 220 euro (£190) for a single BFG AT's!!. I'l be getting my tyres online through Eurotyre, they seem to be reasonable.
Also as for the 2" lift, I reckon I'l have to order them form roughtrax & then get ripped off for the installation over here.
Basically if you live in Ireland & you have an interest in 4X4ing your knackered.
Hopefully I'l have a few pics of my Lux with her new boots soon.

Also check Roughtrax they may be cheaper for 4 or 5 KL71's
