    Hi all,
After much searching around I have finally bought a Surf its a 3.0 (kzn130) blue 1994 SSRG with broke rear window motor, broke Aerial (had new one in boot 5min fixed) dont think the cruise control works and needs a good service(parts on order)! There also seems to be some transmission fluid on underside of box and may have a small engine oil leak to.
On the upside it was cheap and I think a few hours and a couple of hundred quid and it will last me a while.

    Welcome to the forum.

Blue - good colour......3.0 ......good choice of engine (although if it was a real bargain, keep an eye on the engine and ATF temperatures).

lots of advice etc on these forums.....you can get lost for hours on here following searches and past-posts.

Rear window tends to be the wire which after constant up-downing breaks at a flex point......again...search on here should provide a decent write-up on checking and replacement.

Thanks for the tips will watch that, is there an ATF gauge? Also need to replace the exhaust bushes just in front of rear axel both busted and it rattles on idle.

Also I'm in mid Sussex does anyone know if there are any Jap 4x4 parts specialist's locally to me?

        Thanks.

Cant answer as regards who is in Sussex, but you will get anything you need in the way of parts , either from Roughtrax ( new parts) or from one of the forum resident breakers, Stormforce is one , but there are others. and lots of forum members have bits and pieces laying around that they are often happy to sell or swap.

Oh! and welcome. Shame about the colour, but if you can see past that, you have got yourself a fine vehicle.

                        Welcome to the nut house

Make yourslef at home and feel free to join in the banter

Where are you in Mid Sussex ?

As others have said Roughtrax are great for new parts, for spares from breakers then good old Stormy, Lord Lucan or Supersurf will be more than happy to help out.

Beware the Lurch, despite Bio's best intentions we still haven't even managed to scrub him, let alone house train him

He might not have a slef.

There is also Milners for parts, as long as you know what you want. Some people on here have a biiiig downer on Milners, and prefer to pay Toyota-like prices for (sometimes) exactly the same item.

However, steer clear of their rads - they're made of old beer cans!

Thanks for the warm welcome, I've only been here 5 mins and sounds like I've rocked the boat already with the colour war! I'm in Hurstpierpoint, but soon to be Sayers Common once I've finished the bungalow( main reason i bought the surf, to drag the trailer around).
Managed to get a few of the bits I need but didn't see the point in paying postage for a few exhaust rubbers.

You,ve gone and put me off now. I would however like to say WHITE !!! WHITE !! If the white one the gentleman is referring to is the one on my avatar, I would just like him to be aware that the white is "pearlescent silver"
I can only assume that this is some kind of precursor to him claiming that his blue one is black. He probably bought it by mistake thinking that it was black.
