has anybody noticed when using milners filters the truck seems to hold back at moterway speeds but with roughtrax ones it definately goes alot better.
mine tows a 16 ft caravan on milners filters the check light for the engine comes on i changed the filters three times with the same problem but then bought a roughtrax one for a couple of quid more and the truck is going alot better.
I am working down kent now and stopping by paddock wood so might go to the military show on sunday looks like a good show and its too far to travel back every weekend from here.

never really noticed the problem til i started using the truck for work but had too for the caravan your probably not sucking enough fuel through the filter running around local to realise that it would starve when using in anger.

must admit that i wouldnt want to pull our 25 ft caravan with our surf (2.4) but our isuzu (3.1) pulled it no problem.my surf is fine on ordinary roads but cr4p on m/ways top speed about 80 and that really is thrashing it

mine is a 2.4 and you do know about it when you have the caravan hooked up and when running on the moterway solo i tend to keep it at about 75 to 80 but these things where never built for speed and any more than that is thrashing it.

mmm shame it dosent fit without some serious modding to exhaust manifold, inlet manifold, exhaust downpipe, water inlet , water outlet, oil feed , oil return , uprated injectors, but im sure bdt will explain

i did hear that the cam for the 2.8 head fits the 2.4 but with a higher lift and they go well with that mod.

You dont work for Roughtrax do you?

You know if you flowed the maximum your filter can flow you'd likely empty your tank in about 10 minutes? For fuel filters, I've used alsorts, generally seeking out the cheapest, and run on bio, SVO, WVO, even standard diesel. I've hooned up motorways, and used the truck pretty hard now and again, and I've never suffered fuel starvation.

I wonder if your pump is struggling, and a perhaps small difference in restriction between the filters is showing up the issue, or whether you're carrying some other fuel system issue?

Could never understand this RT obsession that people seem to have, personally. For chuffs sake, if they want to buy OEM equipment, use either Toyota or RT, but pack it in with the RT are practically spares gods sh1te. Just a minor bugbear of mine, might I add.
