is it really only a case of lifting the front of surf off the floor and winding up 2 bolts to raise height with the torsion bars?

Threaten to buy a 3rd gen, that won't half wind 'em up,
then try to drown them in WD40.

                Gman.

I'm fairly sure it won't happen a second time.

you need to measure the gap from the wheel rim to the underside of the arch. Then adjust both sides the same amount and lower the truck and take for a spin to settle the suspension and then re-measure and adjust accordingly. The bolts will ony go up so far before hitting the under body.
You may well find that you need to have a spanner on the nut on top as that may be turning with the bolt. You should be able to put the spanner on and then wedge it agains the chasis or something to stop it turning

ah that may be where i am going wrong, so the top nut has to stay still and only wind the bolt clockwise. if the top nut turns too then no adjustment will happen.

                          cheers richard.

                            No shit?

Someone should have said you need about 200 turns before they told you you'll need a spanner on the nut.

because not everyone is obviously as intelligent as yourself eh?

try reading through my posts regarding this and check out the severe lack of information given by most.

why do people insist on talking crap other than actuall offer the advice people ask for?

                              hence my question.

i would like it done properly thats all peferably without fu#@ing it up.

                              thanks all for your help
