My Surf’s MOT is not up until October, but it passed first time last year. The year before it needed a new exhaust.

I took my sports car for its MOT last month and it passed (but I had only done 550 miles since the last test). I took my Dads Toyota Rav 4 two weeks ago and all it needed was a new sensor for the CAT... fixed and passed an hour later.

The one thing all these vehicles have in common is that they are all Japanese

I do check them over thoroughly before taking them for an MOT, but I don’t have the equipment to test the emissions.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

well how do you measure exessive???

did give the truck a quick once over was more concerned it very slightly pulled to left when braking this is after i split both brake calipers and took the pistons out and cleaned them (there was dirt around the near side caliper pistons) so it brakes in a staightish line now probably the camber in the road

its probably caused the excessive play in the steering idler

thanks again for the brake pedal pad biosurf

Funny I just brought my wife's car back this afternoom with a fail ticket. handbrake seemed tight and pulled the car up nice but computer said no.

What do computers know about 13/60s from 1968.

thanks paul for the pedal cover i got it yesterday! i borrowed my mates off hs for the retest. the steering idler was OK to fit managed it in about 15mins thankk got i had a ball joint remover! 22mm at that! now somewhere on the front drive train is knocking when driving think the drivers side CV has gone but not too sure other opinion is bearings in front diff. have a +2" suspension lift and do P+P once a month so with the increased angle i might have popped the CV but it all seems tight enough??will have to take apart and investigate! may need a front diff off you! will pay for that!

mine passes first time as well.

i wont lie, i dont know what a steering idler is, but whilst driving the truck can you not feel that something down there needs looking at?
whats up with the brake pedal?

ive seen people put their car in for MOTs with blatant fails..sort of things you think, why bother.
