A34 - Warning !

Just north of the Wash Common (A343) junction on the A34 a bright yellow 'lamp post' has appeared - there's nothing on the top of it at the moment BUT it looks suspiciously like the things they mount average speed cameras on .......

Be careful out there !

As long as you're not texting or picking your nose you should be able to see the cameras anyway.

haven't noticed that one... they might be putting them up in advance of any roadworks for a 50mph average speed

On the way home at 17:30 last night I noticed that there are TWO sets, one northbound and one southbound, covering a mile of the carriageway immediately north of the A343 junction - there were cameras mounted but pointing to the side.

At 06:00 this morning the cameras were all aligned on the carriageways - given that they're covering all lanes it doesn't seem likely that roadworks will be starting soon ..........
