    3rd gen ssr 80kmiles auto

t-belt light came on last night. Manual says this is automatic at 100km
the beilt was replaced earlier this year at 70k miles

    Is there a new problem?
Is it an automatic switch coming on at the wrong milage (perhaps due to the replacement)?

    Any info would be appreciated

    cheers

I believe if you pull the small rubber grommet out of the middle of the dash, the one to the left of the mileage reset button, there is a small button in the dash, if you press that it resets the T light.

just read your post again, you have a 3rd gen, hopefully it is the same/similar as a 2nd gen

Hi n Welcome Buddy, as nobody's replied to ya yet...
Here goes, as a 2nd Gen @100k (light comes on) replace belt/s etc) reset until next 100k.
As for a 3rd Gen think the same may apply in theory (may have a timer also)
So if ya can be sure it was done @ 70k, your looking at 170k before next renewing the belts (TBL needs resetting asap or at 100k) someone else with 3rd Gen experience will be along later, meanwhile this may help.....

      There's always a Payback .... Don't know where n don't know when tho ....

          Welcome,

no problem just need to move the grub screw behind the dash to the second position. Its easy to do and only takes 10minutes.

you will need a short philips screwdriver to take the screws out holding the dash section behind the steering wheel. take the speedo pannel out and in the middle on the back there is a small grub screw clearly marked with two positions. Unscrew it and put it into the second postition.

          Repeat every 100k

          very easy to do
If it can be broken it can be fixed

Unless you have Optitron gauges, then you need to follow the procedure for the 90 series Landcruiser.
