MOT (Ministry of Transport) test to check if your car still works the way it should - but what I find odd is why so many on here seem surprised that their Surf gets through this, or even gets them down the road and back....if you look after it, it should outlive you!

I take into account those on here who beat the living hell out of their trucks offroad, and then have to hammer bits back on so they can get home in one piece, but seriously, the road queens amongst you (you know who you are) should have more faith in your trucks!

In Canada we have a "DOT" but its not a routine thing. You only get your vehicle "DOTed" if you were in a accident or if its just a old piece of crap and a cop feels like giving you a hard time.

My surf probably wont ever need a mandatory inspection ever again. But the initial importation inspection is pretty tough. I had to replace the tires, Headlights, and had to add daytime running lights and a center top break light.

i am surprised every time kev starts his truck let alone driving it!!! in fact i had to warn my mate not to even try to follow kev offroad unless he wanted to get stuck!
