During last years MOT the bloke pointed out that he couldn't tell the condition if the rear brake lines where they went over the fuel tank, so he put it as an advisory, in order that I would get it checked before the next MOT (July), unfortunatley I then forgot.
Now with the recent member losing his brakes, and the fact that I am off to North Yorkshire fully loaded (GTW 3.5t) next month. I thought I'd get round to checking.
Spent today dropping the fuel tank and what do you think I found on the 17 year old girl.
Nothing but Salisbury Plains dirt. No corrosion, nothing. I will give them a bit of a clean and some hammerite, to get them througth the next 17 years, and then fight to get that darn fuel tank back on again. But at least I know they're in good condition.
