woodlands is fun, but shut at the moment, hopefully reopening in July. near wrotham so not too far from you.

truegrip at sturry/canterbury gets mixed reviews, never been so can't comment.

There's a small pay&play at Bethersden somewhere, but it's meant to be pretty tight and potentially damaging, again, never been.

Flimwell is an old club site, which still get's opened up occasionally for pay & plays when a club sorts it's own PLI for the site and opens it to the public. The landowner used to do it himself, but had insurance issues with opening to general public so stopped doing it, clubs can get away with it by charging a day membership fee to non-members therefore making it members only as opposed to a public event. Meant to be 'interesting' in the wet, but ok in the dry if you're sensible about what you and your vehicle can do.

Don't think i've ever heard a good word said about piccadilly wood, at Bolney (sussex) so probably best to avoid that one.

As far as garages go, i wouldn't go back to autoworld (I think that's what it was called) the big specialist import garage, used to have a place at canterbury now moved to faversham somewhere, basically on the grounds of one bad experience though, maybe i was unlucky? I'd find a small local independent place and chat to them, if they seem happy enough and confident they can do the work let em do it, the only thing that's different to any other diesel motor is the 4wd system really.

What sort of service mate? If it's just oil, fuel, air filters and an oil change it's so easy to do it yourself (damn sight cheaper too)! Get the filter service kit from Milners.

Hi guys... i found some places to go and play today... nothing too serious... close to holly hill in snodland... scraped my belly twice... but its due to my surf being a tad low... need to do the 2" suspension lift soon...

On the service front... I'll probably have to get the front cv's checked and install some manual locking hubs... and get the rear drums and diff looked at cause i'm hearing some noise from it when i turn...

other than that... nothing that i can think of

I hope you didnt follow all the other tracks into the muddy bit off piste there. You shouldnt be rubbing your belly along the correct route as the deep ruts have recently been filled in with tons of type 1. The byway is under review because of all the playing, my money is on it becoming a permit route like Bredhurst and Lenham.

've been to Truegrip a couple of times and enjoyed it but never been anywhere else so can't really compare it. The people there were friendly and seem to know what they're talking about though and the driving was fun
