What’s the point, you can’t (legally) drive around with A1 5URF anyway.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

No, not at all.... just assumed that was what he had in mind.
I’m actually thinking of buying a personal plate myself for my next vehicle

can i ask where you saw this plate - (A15 URF) for sale?
I tend to look on the DVLA website - and can never find any i like.

This plate - A15 URF - apparently is not available on DVLA site - but you found it somewhere - somewhere i might be able to find a plate for me.

dont worry - i'm not after a 5 URF plate - looking for A115 TER or something similar
            Everyone thinks I'm paranoid!!

for £11K i think you could do what you want!

the site i found all the plates on is

              http://www.regtransfers.co.uk

think the cheapest is £344 for B10 URF i think it would be cool though to have 5 URF

as the thread heading says thought it would be of general interest!

The DVLA really pee me off! They offer you a private plate for x thousands of pounds, knowing fine well you will try and make it look 'special', then when you do they can slap a huge fine on you and confiscate the plate!

I mean, come on, would you pay 11 grand for A15 URF unless you could doctor it to look like A1 SURF?

Even if I could make the plate look like it said SURF I wouldn't pay 11 grand for it!
'Tis better to sting than to be stung!

No you can’t! and that is the point I was trying to make. As soon as you doctor the plate you are liable to have it taken off you and the plate take out of circulation.

Hi guys. Just picked up this thread when I did a google search. I had a business I founded and helped to run until recently - the website was www.a1surf.com - moved on from it last year although I retained my number plate - hence the reg.

Thanks Bibs. Paintwork is fine, it may be due to the rain / sunlight /white balance. Anyhow off for a run, laters....
