Thanks for all the suggestions guys...much appreciated

Was keen to get a merc estate but no decent ones within about a hundred miles of us and getting desperate as have no motor

I have today become the proud owner of a 55 plate Saab 9-3 1.9 tid 150 bhp (and it's not a vectra engine - it's fiat lol - the 2.2 is a vectra engine) It has a full saab service history so hopefully should be ok

I know it's not an estate but fell in love with it after test driving on friday

Will now have the added expense of a towbar and trailer but i'm happy - it's a beauty

P.S Pic is quite dark as it's quite dark outside lol

Subaru do make a diesel, was out in a Legacy 2.0D sports tourer the other day. very smooth and quiet for an oil burner, with an impresive performance 0-60 8.3 sec and a Max of almost 130mph. then on top of that you can get over 50mpg.
