  • How to put a smile on your face :)

    Take 1 Surf

SORN it whilst carrying out various mechanical repairs and servicing.

Put it back on the road after approx 3 months, and take for a day out with familly

Can't say how good it felt to finally be able to get the truck fully functional and out on the road again.

Now just got to start sorting out some off road time with it

        Hi Ross

Jobs completed so far include: -
Remove and install replacement diff and drive shaft(thanks Chillit)
Repair and replace broken bracket on rear ARB
Replaced front inner/outer wheel bearings on both corners
New timing belt & tensioner fitted
Strip clean and replaced rear brakes, they now work
Drained and replaced both F & R diff oils
Extended diff breathers to both F&R
Engine oil and all filters changed.
        Replaced N/S front calliper
Extended Braided hoses to front and rear brakes + new fluid

Robbie carried out the last 2, plus finished bleeding the system. Also managed to replace the front bumper and strengthened the front bash plate.

Still got a couple of minor jobs to complete such as finding out why I have no radio working although it will play CD's and connected to MP3 player. Keeps showing message that there is no RF, think it may just be the aerial
