    never to old

This reply is for popeye, you are never to old, we left the Uk with 34 grand after we had paid of the mortgage and other debts etc, we are similer to you in that my daughters handicapped, but your dla and incapacity plus carers are payable abroad, after being taken to european court the uk lost and can no longer discriminate against disabled people, property is alot cheaper if you take the time to look around properly, you will be surprised at what you can get, we are only going to relocate to France from Greece because my daughters spine is crumbling and there is nothing they can do, she already has 2 metal bars holding her spine in place. The medical care is quite good once you know your way around, medication is free as well as medical care under the E112 issued by the UK. After my daughters operation, the cold really affected her, she was in pain, her epilepsy kept coming back, since our move here she has more or less stopped all med for epilepsy and has not had a cold for 3 years. The sun is a wonderfull healer, so there you go,its never to late.

I'd even emigrate back to Scotland after living in London and not having the money to take advantage of all London offers, can walk the dog and watch telly anywhere.

And whats too old? i'm only 62.

I can quite happily stay the day in the water.
Have had a few biggie moments where the waves were just too powerful, and really bounced, and rolled me along the seabed, leaving me gasping for air !

Muizenberg beach, is Indian Ocean, good, quite warm, not too much power in the waves.
However, go to the other side, Clifton, Altantic side, only 20 miles apart, and the Atlantic waves can really come crashing down onto you with a real smack in the back !

            Love it !!!!!!!!!

I spent two years in Oz and don't regret a second. Having said that, coming home was my choice and I'd got bored by then. Having said that though, if I lived in some dull village or ####pot town, I would definitely be back there like a shot. Don't fall into the trap of thinking it's all sunshine and joy out there though; NZ is pretty rough, Oz has a lot of race relation issues, Canada has a lot of poverty and homelessness etc etc.

Thats it, go on, shatter everyone's dreams of a better life.

I hear what your saying though mate, its not all like "home & away", you have to be realistic about it, no matter which part of the world you decide to move to.
If its not broke don't fix it.
