Graham, its all very well scoffing at Ian because he is old, but, he was young once , and when you are young, and maybe have a young lady friend, and also have a car, then a bench seat and column change can be a big bonus. It makes for a seamless operation, it keeps you in the moment, no awkward changing of seats, or stuff like that, which can lead to changes of mind.
The young lady doesnt have to be a friend, someone you just met and whose name you dont know would work too.

Bring back the bench seat and column change. Recaro Seats and rally ready ?? pahhhh

1, D reg Renault 9 caught. After 8 months it boiled up 1.5 miles from home, so I drove it anyway to the point it nearly caught fire when I pulled onto my mother's driveway.

2, C reg Austin Meastro. Got it for free, with a fake tax disc and if I was told if I took it in for MOT the car would be impounded for being so unsafe. But after 2 months of happy motoring I still sold it for £50.

3, C reg renault 5. My first decent car that wasn't going to kill me or anyone else. Sold it in the end as I was at uni and not using it and needed the money.

                        You were on a roll!

Do you remove the ARBs from all your cars then?

No just drove like an idiot through the welsh lanes. When I was 17 I thought I was the best driver in the world and drove the fastest car on the planet. Somebody should have have kicked the s**t out of me. Well actually they did plenty of times but not for that
