Funnily enough, last time I went there, they didn't have what I needed (100w or 130w H3 lamps) but Halfrauds did...
Andy what sort of a bomb is that is that one of them daisy cutter things. Might need to borrow that tomorrow if my truck don't make it to the garage again.

That is 'THE bomb'. It's a 'fat man' nuke as dropped on Nagasaki. Obviously an unused one.

It would do more than cut your daisies!

        why why why??
Because most motor factors are staffed by pompous asses who think they know everything, and who cant be bothered serving joe public when their back street cowboy garage mates are in picking up stuff. They also like to intimidate joe public with what they think is their superior knowledge, because they learned a small list of part no,s. Joe therefore thinks, stuff this, Im off to Halfrauds, where I can be sure that the pimply youth at the counter will know less than me and I can get a bit of intimidating and showing off in.

but then there are some who, actually do know their stuff and a whole lot more besides. i see everyone has their opinions and i am sure that most are based on poor experiences, although i cannot believe that halfords could ever be any better, as they too are a motor factor almost, and the staff they employ know more about drugs than cars.

try an independant factor rather than a large group, you may find they are better, although avoid autolec as they are prejudice and the owner is like mr T yet old ha ha

seriously, check him out. now he does not know how to run a company or how to treat his staff.

this thread is full of B/S...

Halfrauds have their place, very useful in the evening, and on Sundays. Halfords in the only place i can get 3rd gen rear light bulds round here.

Get you head out your arse NEZ, and get a sence of humour.

Most motor factor staff are not much better then the kids at Halfords, Joe Public gets no more respect at factors than Halfords.

Halfords Pro tools ARE very good, especially when you have a trade card.

I have accounts with AutoParts, and CAF, both are very good if you talk to right people, but the kids tapping away at their computers screens still need training to get import stuff correct.

my head is nowhere near my arse, sorry to disappoint you!

i take great pride in the service i give my customers and always go out of my way to ensure they get what they want.

i agree they have their place, all i was mearly stating was that there are alternatives to halfords, their pro tools are great, i have many but on the whole they are charging at least twice the price than what we used to charge for exactly the same items. people should be made aware thats all, call it --compare the car part suppliers.com, (enough of a sense of humour or would you like more)?
i have plenty of terrible jokes i could share but seeing as i dont know you i would not find it acceptable to offend you! (some members please take heed of this statement)

do not judge what and who you do not know and do not insult someone for offering an opinion, democracy? not here.

                      what are your skills then????

Just noticed this thread. I'm getting settled down for this one too.

Edit: Btw, since when did all local factors not open on Sundays? Half of ours do.
