i know how its used n all
but how and were is the best place to set the alti meter bit?
i know it needs to be set but iam not driving to the sea just to set it
int there a marker ya have on a map that tells ya the altitude?
any map boffs out there know what i should be looking for?

Go to Google earth. When you drag the cursor (little hand) over the map you can read the elevation at bottom centre of screen. Drag it over your house and you can set the altimeter on the drive

I got one but I can't say I use the Altimeter bit!

I live beside the sea and set it accordingly.

It doesn't seem to move though?

Maybe you need to go up 1,000's of feet and not just 100's before you see it move!

Maybe it is broke?

A good map should give you your "height above sea level", maybe a Sat Nav?

Just set it accordingly!

If it is the same as mine, good luck with deciphering the increments, I can't make head nor tail of them!

1 meter = 3ft 3"
55 meters = 180.4 ft

I also have an gauge thing never use it but the kids like watching it!!!
