Surely if they are prepared to bid that high, then they should part with the cash - it's a legal contract after all!

Ok, NOT to be taken the wrong way - I am NOT questioning your integrity

If you have been honest about the description then that's the buyers problem - enjoy getting more than expected

well i just re-read the description I wrote and feel its a fair assesment, I am just dreading them turning up to fetch it and having to argue with them, or them not wanting it at all, or maybe its a p*sstake, and I'll have to start again, I notice both the fighting bidders have no feedback... which hardly fills me with confidence...

You stated it was for spares or repair. If they cant be bothered to ask questions or view it tough, thats thier problem. If they want to give you the money take it . If in your oppinion they have bought a pup dont worry you described it accurately, the rest is down to them. If they renege report them you have done nothing wrong.

                      Brummie

P.S. will you sell mine for me if/when I want to sell it
I've taken a vow of poverty To anoy me send money

Now the rules, dont bid unless you mean it, or I will take the usual routes, there is no warranty, its for spares or repair, cash on collection only please, once you win, its yours.
Dude, I really wouldn't worry. I've read through your description; you have stated what problems there are with the vehicle and the price has gone higher than you dared hope. Enjoy it!

I sold my Mk I Escort on eBay; it was actually the first thing I sold on there. It did not run, it would not start, it needed new tyres. I stated everything that was wrong with it. I even added stuff that I remembered after I submitted the ad. I expected about £250 - £300 and I ended up with £901 - the winning bidder put his £1-higher bid in in the last 10 seconds!

At the end of the day, take this bit of advice: the price is exactly what the customer is prepared to pay.

                            evil bay

Check their feedback and it looks bad, you can also look at there bid history, that does not look good, no feedback, the high bidder is a new user, i had the same when i put my Jeep on ebay, new bidder bid it up, then disappeared. Contact the bidder and see if they reply, be carefull because a lot of scammers and east europeans use this way to get rid of bent money and checks etc. If they do not contact you remove there bid. That should let the decent people back in.
                            Hope it helps.
