  • Exhaust question

The back box decided to snap off on the seam. Will it be okay running as is for a day or two? i.e: With the pipe being angled down, it shouldn't be at risk of blowing onto the chassis or bodywork?

Cheers. A bit of smoke I can live with. Just didn't want to risk of getting anything sooty or hot.

See if you can weld up a nice pipe to come out the side.

Then you can smoke tree huggers into kippers (yeah I know they are already dozy )

              Just a question.......

........how would it sound with no silencer at all......

....just a pipe exiting out the side (or out the top like a trucks )

....does the turbo muffle most of the exhaust noise?

Good luck getting that kinda thing on a surf!

Works great on pickups coming out the bed.

Cheers. The complete section from the centre muffler or just the back box? Just asking as that section of pipe over the rear diff dropped off the other day too.

On a related note, how noisy are these beasts with no muffler on whatsoever? Vicious or manageable? Not going with the original design for replacement, (going more Vince style ), but just wondered what type of noise there'll be to muffle?

                            Cheers again all.
