  • Sierra Cosworth

I've always fancied owning a Sierra Cosworth, don't know why, I just do. I've been having a look on Ebay and they still fetch (or are offered at) fantastic money.

I haven't seen many around lately, most likely because a large amount of them have either been written off, hammered into the ground or nicked.

I know we sometimes discuss which high end motor we'd like to own, but does anyone else have the urge to possess an older, sporty or top of the range model which was derived from something that started out life as a basic family car?

      damn right..

I bought myself a 2WD cossie for xmas this yr, absolutely awesome..!!

Its running Stg3, around 330bhp at 20psi of boost. Fresh rebuild when i bought it with lots of brand new bits an around 4k miles on the engine.

Driving it is a visceral experience, no doubt theres faster machines around but the but you feel like you've achieved something nailing your favourite route..probably the fact that your back in one piece..lol..or it hasnt broken

XR4i, eh? How about this then? A bit out of my price range mind you!

BTW Animal, that's a cracking looking motor. I feel a slight twinge of jealousy coming on.

Lotus Carlton, once driven never forgotten. Far better than a Siera and it doesn't have the stigma of following that blue oval badge around

Ah, Andy, I would be disappointed if you missed out on one of my posts. Perhaps if I manage to come on the Skye trip we may finally find something we can agree on. A long shot, perhaps, but an interesting thought nonetheless!

Oh, and because you would point it out if it were me, Sierra has 2 r's in it!

Surely we don't always disagree? Aye, come Skye, surely we'll come up with something to agree on!

What a boring world it would be without opposites?

PS. Do you know my DVD e-mail address?

Not guilty mate, I would never stoop that low. Read about it on Rods thread and I have to say, that although you and I agree to disagree sometimes, if I had owt to say I'd say it to your face (well, you know what I mean).

To be honest, it must be as much a banter thing as serious disagreement; I honestly don't remember when we do disagree! Not like some of the others who seem to bear grudges indefinitely!

So many cars for someone still relatively young.

Did you sell each one after a week or as soon as you got the log book back?

Or, were they real cars or Matchbox?
