Try typing admin as the password.

        I believe its quite difficult
I took my sons computer in for repair, without asking him for the password.
The computer shop was only able to copy and open some of his files without it.

they could of got round it, but said it would wipe all his files

As far as I know, there is no way around it - once it's set, the only way to get around it is using an admin account to get past it and reset the password for that account...

What version of Windows is it?

                Re

There most certainly IS away around it!

Removing/resetting windows passwords are easy peasy!

You can remove/reset it in seconds if you know how!

                Anyone want to know how?

Have you access to the internet?

                    Re

                    OK!

                    1. Download this!

                    TechDirecT Password Remover

                    2. Burn it to a CD as an IMAGE/ISO! (very Important!)

                    3. BOOT your PC from it!

                    4. Follow on screen instructions!

                    5. Done!

I have mate, look at previous post!

                        Guys, this really does work!

I have been using it for ages in my work!

I'm really shocked that most IT Repair shops/people cannot do this!
