Richard are you swapping the whole front hubs then , metal sound usually mean bronze bushes , if you change them you will need new

Chris i know you need to use the truck for a long journey but how soon is this trip your taking?
If your able to source another ecu then go for it but i wil be hoping to get my truck sorted asap and get the breaker down asap.Sorry for the delay but its one of those things that can't be helped

You got this sorted yet or at least found out what the damage/problem is ?

things quietened down and now the clonking is back again.It sounds like its coming from the trans box area.When i excellerate then i get this clonking noise and then the metal on metal sound sometimes when the brakes are applied and sometimes random.I think i need to get the wheels off and have a good look.I can't feel any play in the rear prop at all but maybe i just need to change the trans fluid as i never got round to changing it from when i boiled it pulling 3t upto Vince's place
