If you are looking at a Soarer I would suggest the 4.0 litre beast

With the 2.5 if the Turbos go wrong you are in for a sore wallet.

You also need to remember to disconnect the batteries for 1/2 hour or so, yep the ECU learns just like a Surf.

exactly what BDT said dude.Its ok to hark back to the glory days for a bda engined mk11 escort, but it aint to practical.For a grand you should be able to find, and batter down the price of a half decent R32.
Not sure of the engine output, but heck mate...look hard enough you may even find an R34 if your dead lucky !!.
They behave like normal run of the mill cars,with good manners in traffic etc...and then when you give them the beans ...waheyy!!!!!!!!

The soarer and other lexus deriviatives are for,in my VERY humble opinion,
the more mature amongst us, who dont want the look of a skyline, but as they are very similair engines drivetrain...go figure.Anyway an R32 it is
