The granddaughter had to got to Luton / Dunstable Hospital yesterday n due to the weather my daughter asked if I’d take them, “no problem” I said
(I’m always up for a challenge)
She said the Local Radio was warning that Luton Town Centre was impossible … n knowing L&D Hospital was just of junction 11 of the M1.
We set off along the Redbourn road, slowly towards Redborn. (intending to jump on the M1 at junction 9 n up two junctions to junction 11)
We hadn’t gone half a mile along the road when we noticed about a ¼ mile up the road in front of us was a Transit type vehicle moving very very slowly with amber lights flashing, (we all wonder what they were doing) it wasn’t until we were in range of overtaking the Vehicle… we couldn’t believe what we were all seeing…
With snow still falling n up to 1 -2” of packed Ice, we observed they were council workers, bet ya can’t guess !!!
