  • Urgent Answer........

Ok guys. I am just finishing off fitting a replacement engine and will be putting in oil and coolant in in the morning and then starting her up.
Thing is, i have (one for a better word) a nozzle sticking out of the oil cooler between the back of the fuel pump and the oil filter to which i guess a pipe goes on. I cant remember for the life of me where it goes to or indeed if it should be blanked off.
I had a look at 286 bph's truck to day but his goes to the intake pipe then back out. My intake pipe dosent have any fittings for pipes like his. I guess the later modals were changed. What i could do with is one of you obliging chap's with a 3lte 1995 to look under ya bonnet and let me know first thing. Oh and mine also has an electric fuel pump, the other type (i think) goes to this nozzle.
If one of you kind gent's could help me on this so i can put the last tick on the check list and drive my Surf again i would be most grateful.
    Thanks all.

Cap and clamp it. I have no idea what it's there for, but it is capped from the info I can find.

Just remembered something about a recall on the 3 Ltr Surf so did some investigating. The recall was for the Rubber Cap that fits on the oil cooler and could crack from the heat and cause overheating from coolant loss. If you cap it use a good quality cap and a decent clamp.
