Just press the button on the side of the transfer lever as soon as you feel the truck loosing grip,(45mph max) then switch it off again when the road is clear.

If it's your first time in snow, you need to know to go very gently. Don't brake, accelerate or steer suddenly. In fact, try to avoid braking at all, just let it slow under its own weight, and lock it into lower gears if the going gets a bit hairy on the steep stuff.

Just a bit of trivia: I don’t have a button on the side of my lever.... I think Sancho will confirm that the V6 petrol Surfs have a slightly different system.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

Some erse in a wee car decided to brake heavily inn front o me yesterday to let a bus out, Luckily enough i was far enough back not to slide into him. if i had been at my usual stopping distance i would have been right into him. Wee Fiat Bravo no more me thinks would have been the case. My horn works though

It does indeed. And very peculiar it is too. It has kind of levers that look like they're out of an 80s arcade game.

I put mine in 4wd once and the clunk it made sounded like the gearbox had fallen out....

Linda's truck has only been out of 4wd 2 or 3 times in the last 2 days, I've just left it on.

Was waiting for some sort of salon reply.
I even used the hair dryer to melt the snow off the windscreen.
