went to work this morning about 15 mls each way left at 6.30 just to feed the wild birds not much else to do in a garden with a covering of 4 ish ins of snow on it then came home and filled all the feeders in my small garden .i must be soft

at work i have a nut hatch that feeds with the blue/great tits and we also have a little egret that looks to be nesting on one of the islands

I heard something about it being better to put up fresh boxes in the autumn, as if other birds and animals have found their way into it over the summer and left sceents etc.. it will deter birds from using them to nest over winter, don't know how true it is though??
