Getting greasey

I thoughts it time to buy a grease gun and grease anything that moves underneath my Surf.

Knowing nothing -

(i) are all grease guns equal ? are they all the same nipple size etc
(ii) any recommendations
(iii) do i just slip the end of it over the nipple and squeeze or do I loosen off the nipple
(iv) How many squeezes..

i) pretty much Usually standard size
ii) cheapest, flexible nozzle can be handy.
iii) Yes and no you dont loosen it off, give the nipple a clean before
pressing the nozzle on.
iv) usually till you see grease coming out somewhere. But I believe
not on the drive shaft nipples as it can cause some sort of problem
if too much is put in. 4 squeezes should be ample.
