Help Please - Third Gen Door Cards

I've got a dead speaker in the drivers door and don't seem to be able to get the door card off - found 3 screws, 2 under the grab handle and one in the door open latch and the 2 plastic plugs but it still appears to be stuck around the opening handle - does the mechanism need to be disconnected? Grateful for any advice?

On a 2nd gen once the screw in the middle of the handle is removed they then slide towards the front end of the truck an then out.


No idea if its the same but i would hazard a guess its similar.

are the screws also plastic on a 3rd gen?

No the ones under the handle are steel - only plastic are the localers on the front and back of the door. Does the open handle surround come away on the 2nd?

You need to slide the door pull towards the outside then it will pull through the square hole on a angle and the card will be free, assuming you have popped all the buttons.

Thanks Shirehorse, worked a treat one of the front buttons was mangled which didnt help - now I need a new speaker!
