  • bit of help?

    As you might know my dad went an bought a nissan terrano (i did warn him)

    anyways the rear window washer (dont know the name)

    aint working at all, the pump you can hear is also working but no water coming through, im going to check tommorrow to see if i can find the problem.

    is thier anything anyone else knows tht i dont, which might make my life a lot easyer xD

    it sounds as if the pipework has come apart,best thing to do is set fire to it and buy a surf

        lol, trust me....

        if i had my way i would....

        he likes the surf, but doesn't like the sitting postion....

        the terrano seats are like arm chairs compared to the surfs, although i still perfer the surfs seats xD

          Winter screen wash has a habit of going soapy and gunging up the nozzles. A lot of Japanese motors, the Surf included, has spring operated anti-syphon valves just behind the window washer nozzles. They are designed to keep the pipes full of washer fluid so they don't dry up and freeze. They also make a good trap for little bits of grit and soapy lumps. I took mine apart and cleaned them a couple of years ago, after they clogged up and they have been alright since. It might be a similar story with the TerrorCan.

            first thing to do is get a very thin needle,push that down the jet,that may work,if not pop it off(i think its just a flat sided screw driver to get it out),pull pipe off get someone to operate washer(aaim hose at floor),see if it comes out,if not its the pump
