the number plate is hinged via 2 cable ties. so it will flap back and let wind in. and also wont snap off in the mud.

    Tidy!
The approach angle is unaffected and the winch is easily accessible when you need rescuing when the truck is submerged.

That is a nice neat solution. Not very pedestrian friendly, so I won't wander out in front of you after a few bevvies.

I think the plod will take a dim view of it ......prehaps needs a bull bar type setup .

Also it's blocking the air flow to the rad

would plod be concerned? doesn't look to have any sharp edges. but, that air flow blocking could be a problem. tidy work though mate.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

yeh its no friendly to the public or plod. but i will take it off when not using it. its only 4 bolts and 2 wires. but i thot it better up out the way incase i do get bogged down. ive got my 33`s ordered. and theres room for cooling at sides and below. going to drumclog 2mrw to try it out.

inch and half body lift. and the bolts go through the bumper and behind the bumper ive have 2 plated 5"x3" and 5mm thick. and bumper has also been strengthened. will find out 2mrw. and the pikeys dont come round here. incase we steal ther stuff. haha

excuse my ignorance, but dosent that transfer the pulling force to the 2 bolts that are mounted through your standard bumper? and then to the standard bumper mounts ? will that be strong enough?

No way... it would just rip off.

Thats the point i was going at. But he said something about steel plates. So im guessing there welded into the right places to give a hint of strengh to it.

uhhmm.....im not to sure in these matters, but when stein made me some mounts for mine, although it is a bumper, he and neil, attached it all to the chassis...is it wise attaching it to a bumper,

Truth be told, Dont know... My TJM bumper is mounted a similar way to yours mate, Only difference being that the bumper mounts at the recovery hooks aswell.

Unless the bumpers had some serious reinforcing and the bolts that are in it only pass through to the reinforced section then it would probably rip itself off.
