  • little switch??? what's it do?

I have a switch on the dash to the right of the steering wheel and a little lower. It is a rocker switch with a red led when switched 'on'...........but what does it do. I've tried switching it on and off with engine running, driving along and with lights on, it seems to make no difference.

    anyone know?

The purpose of the little switch

I'm just a newbie myself, Pennine. But I believe that switch is for turning the red LED light on and off. That's it. It's the Hilux's entertainment module and is only available on certain models. ;-)

            Best,
            Ken

Thanks folks....I just assumed the fog switch would have been on the main light stalk, but there you are!

I like the idea of the flux capacitor though....see you in 20!

They don't have fog lights in Japan, so they are an aftermarket add-on here. We all get a different switch and it gets a bit confusing. Stick your lights on, flick it and see whether the fog light comes on. If not, it's for some spots that have been taken off. Or the flux capacitor.

In my old 2.4, the switch was for some kind of in-dash smoke machine. When you flicked it, the fog light came on for about 2 seconds, then smoke came out of the dashboard and my old man swore a lot and disconnected the battery pretty sharpish....
