Not sure you can install 'tom tom' onto a navman satnav John, if thats what you meant..??
As for memory map, if you'd have bought Garmin satnav, you'd be laughin. You can plot your routes on the PC, then export the overlays to the Garmin unit. Im running Garmin mobile XT on my phone..same functions.
Dont think the Navman will allow you to display 'foreign' overlays..??
Just to set things straight - i too own a Navman Pin 570 and have installed and used Tom Tom and mermory map - both work fine. I also bought an external plugy in gps receiver (far better and quicker at getting a fix)which I stick on the flat panel where the wiper arms protrude from.
Only problem with navman is the battery life - an hour or so when out walking using memory map.
Afew months ago I purchased View Ranger software (OS walkers series maps) for my Nokia N73 mobile, and a bluetooth GPS receiver. These give much better battery life - lasting a whole days getting lost in the lakes!!
